August and Cooler

At last we are having nice weather. The days have been in the 80's and the nights in the 60's, great sleeping weather and hardly any humidity. DH has an easier time brerathing in this cooler weather. So he has been feeling better.

I have been stitching more these days and playing on the computer less. LOL  It is amazing how much more you can accomplish when you are away from the computer. I finished Serendipity by Papillon and I am trying to decide if I am going to frame it or make it into a pillow.

I also finished a small design for my neighbor she is having such a hard time. It is by Ever So Little Designs. I chose this one as she has a Tabby cat that is a joy. I am not usually a cat person but Angel is a different story. She considers me Mom # 2. LOL I am sure my neighbor will be pleased.

I found a black frame that will look good with it -- now to get it framed. LOL

As I am sure all of you are aware by now, Marilyn Leavitt-Imblum of Lavendar and Lace Desighns has passed away this last week. I am in the Yahoo Group called Marilyn's Gardena and everyone is stitching something in her honor. I had one of her freebie angels started and picked that up again and there is another one already kitted up. Here is a picture of my progress so far.

On a recent visit to my LNS this design by Imaginating caught my eye. I don't usually do a lot of geometrics but for some reason this one struck  my fancy. I am almost halfway finished with it. It is an easy piece to get lost in. As my mind can wander at times this is a good thing. LOL

I am also getting ready to start a Hardanger SAL for the Yahoo group Stitch Specialists. Here is my fabric and thread choices.

Fabric and Thread for Confetti of Hardanger

So as I said I have been keeping my hands busy. I hope all of you are having a wondeful day. Thanks for stopping by.

You are so right about keeping away from the computer and being able to get more done,it's so easy to loose an evening sitting playing and browsing. You have some lovely projects lined up Dusty. The papillon is beautiful and I'm sure your neighbour will adore the special gift.
