Where's Spring !!!!!

It is definitely winter here.  We have had one snow storm after the other. According to reports, we have had over 60 inches of snow for the month of January. Too much as far as I am concerned.  All I seem to do is shovel as DH can't do any of it any more. Now that February is here the temperatures have warmed up a little, but now we have huge puddles of water that freeze as soon as the sun goes down.  As I said  Where is Spring !!!!

I have managed to stitch though.  I finished two pinkeeps that I will use for gifts and exchanges.  And, there has been progress on my Challenge pieces. Here are some pics for you to see of my stitching and all the snow.
Two pinkeeps, one for an exchange and one for a gift

Papillion's Byzantine Gem  all it needs is the beads and then it will be a finish

Progress on my granddaughter's graduation sampler

A first finish for 2011 and the Challenge

The front of our home and all the snow. You can barely see the roof of our car.

This is the side yard and our shed. We won't be getting into it for a while.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day.

Your pinkeeps are beautiful! I love the colors in the Byzantinne Gem, just gorgeous! The beads will add a wonderful sparkle to it. The sampler for your granddaughter's graduation looks great so far, what a pretty border. :)

The snow...well..you can keep it. Rain makes me hurt and snow is a lot worse.

Gosh, Dusty, you do beautiful work! I'm so glad you have your stitching to keep you sane in the midst of this long hard winter. I remember snows like that ... they make you want to get out of Dodge quick!
