What a day !!! DH hs not been feeling well the last couple of days. Last night he was up and down all night having trouble breathing. We ended up at the emergency room today (6 hours) because of it. He was having problems with Congested Heart Failure again. They wanted to admit him but he said that he wanted to go home and had me if he needed anything. They increased his water pills and told us to call his Cardiologist in the morning. I fear he will go into Renal Failure with all the diuretics but only time will tell. After we got home I got a phone call telling me that another family member was swallowed by Cancer
My Uncle died at 2 PM holding his wifes hand withhis daughter by his side. He has been valiently fighting for the last year and lost the battle today. God Speed Uncle Don !!
Thanks for the visit and have a great day !!!

May Already !!
Well another month has swiftly passed me by. I didn't even see it go. April was eventful in many ways. I turned 65 on the 3rd, that is hard to believe. I received many well wishes from online friends and I thank everyone of you. Your comments brightened my day. I even got to spend the day with my favorite person, my Aunt. She is a very special lady to say the least. We spent the day chatting about stitching, family and life. What a joy !! She even treated me to lunch at The 99 Restaurant. Here is a picture of us at the restaurant
How do you like that "HUGE" dessert that we shared. It was delicious. What a wonderful day !!!
When I got home I had some sad news though, my brother-in-law lost his battle with cancer and died that morning. He was 79 years old. My sister and he were married for 57 years. They are not having a funeral now but will have a memorial service in Colorado for him as that was his special place. He will definitely be missed. He had a kind and generous nature and a wonderful smile. Miss you Bill !!
DH had an infection again and was on prednisone and antibiotics for acute bronchitis. He is feeling better now but each time he gets sick it takes so much out of him. As I've said before, we just go day by day and thank God for each one.
As far as stitching, I have been plugging along. I finally managed to finish the Polstitch / Joan Elliott SAL from facebook. It was one of Joan's small angels and she was a joy to stitch. The beads and sparkles don't show up in the picture but she does sparkle.
I stitched her on 28 ct opalescent Lugana. I think she is lovely and will be a Christmas gift for my good friend and neighbor.
I finishes a sampler that I started a while ago, It is from a really old magazine from my stash. I actually had forgotten that I had torn it out and put it away. But when I found it , it called to me. I love the simple look of it. My husband was laughing at me when I finished it as I signed it "DE" instead of "DS". Heaven only knows why I signed it with my maiden name. I haven't used it in ages. LOL But it turned out pretty even with only two colors.
I managed to get most of The Mighty Oak Sampler / Sticklounge SAL done and am now working on the last two part for another finish.
Another Hardanger piece was picked up and finished also. it is a small ornie that just needed the beading put on it. Now all I need to do is trim around it, line it and then make it into an ornie for another finish.
PHEW !!! I told you I have been busy. LOL Now let's see if I can be as productive this month as I was last month. hee hee !!
Well another long post is at an end. I want to thank you for visiting and hope you have a wonderful day.
Take care.

Late Night
I tend to be a night owl, I guess that is from so many years working 2nd and 3rd shifts. Oh well, I like the quiet of the night. I have a little more stitching for you this time. I joined the Nordic Needle Monthly Hardanger Onament Club. The ornies are lovely and a joy to stitch. I have three completed and I am working on another one. I am also working on a Polstitch/Joan Elliott SAL on facebook. I love Joan Elliott's designs. And this is a lovely small angel. I am about halfway finished with her. I love how the colors are coming together. The picture doesn't show it but I am working her on opalescent Lugana. I love the sparkle. The chart has three other angels that I hope to stitch also. Here is my offerings.

Stitching
I can finally post pics of my stitching. I can't believe how much I missed this blog. Anyway. Here is a pic of a piece I am doing with the sticklounge. It is called the Mighty Oak. A fun stitch. I have part 2 finished and I am waiting for the next part to arrive. I still need to retake pics of my other stitching that was lost with the computer crash.

At Last !!
Blogspot has finally fixed the problem and I will be posting again . My computer crashed this past week. What a mess. I lost a lot of files and am slowly trying to get them back. All of my pictures went to the way side. So I will post some stitching news after I retake them again. I am so happy to be able to connect with my efriends again. Take care and have a great day !!!

Hi Everyone !!!
I can't believe that it has been so long since the last time I posted. As I've said before, I just don't know were the time goes. Since July we have had to deal with a hurricane, DH's health problems and numerous other things that have cropped up along the way. For Halloween we had our first snow storm of the season that left us with many trees down and no power or heat for six days. After that my stitchging mojo was hiding under the bed and refused to come out. LOL I finally managed to coax the little bugger out recently and started stitching again. I am working on an Advent Ornament SAL with the Sticklounge. All are by differnt designers and all are pretty. I am behind in my stitching ( nothing unusual there LOL) but I have six designs finished and working on more. I am also working on The Berlin Work Sampler / Sticklounge by Pelin Tezar. I love this design and am working on the next part right now. Below are pictures of my efforts. I hope everyone is enjoying good health and preparing for the coming holidays. I will try to be more faithful to my posting as time goes on. Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day !!!

Here We Go Again !!!
This month has been a busy one, plus blogger hasn't been letting me post. We'll see if this works. I had a surprise visit from my sister, her husband, her daughter, and Joshua, her grandson. They were only here for the day but what a great visit. They live in Maryland - a nine hour drive away and stopped on their way through to upsate New York. Joshua is 4 and a little love. This was the first time I've seen him other than pictures. He is such a happy child. He is actually my great nephew -- where does the time fly to. I can remember Stacy at this age. sigh !!!

Another surprise afternoon visit from my Aunt and Uncle that same week. They live in Massachusetts. She is my best friend and a very special person to me.

As far as stitching, I have been plugging along. I finished the second part of the Berlin Work Sampler and the Summer Heart is complete. Both are SAL's on Sticklounge. I really am enjoying the Berlin Work Sampler. I love watching all the colors come together. It has 36 different colors for the whole design. Can't wait for more. LOL i am thinking of making summer Heart into a pillow. I just need to decide on the fabic and style.

Hope This Works
I tried to post several times this past week and blogspot would not accept it. Hope this time it works..
Life has been about the same around here, although today was a great day.. My son took me out to lunch. We had a great meal at the Olive Garden and a nice chat. He lives about 50 miles from me so most of our contact is by phone. He pops in every now and again to see how we are, but his life is busy so those times are not as frequent as I would like. My other son lives in Kentucky so I don't get to see him very often.
As far as my stitching, I am moving right along. I finished Madonna and Child and just need to get the fabric to make a pillow of it. I am pleased with the way it turned out. I have also started two new SALs in the Sticklounge. One is Summer Heart, a small design and the other is a Berlin Work Sampler by Pelin Tezer. It has 36 colors but I am enjoying it so far.

Rainy Again.
We had lovely sunny weather for several days and now it is raining again and is supposed to rain for the rest of the week. I know it is good for the flowers but the sun did feel nice. I guess I will eventually get the front of my house the way I want it. I will have to be quick and get out there in between rainy days. I was walking in the back the other day and found a cluster of wild violets. They are so pretty. So I ran and got my camera and took a picture.
As far as stitching, I have been working on a few small things but mainly just sitting and relaxing. It is unusual for me to sit and do nothing but there you have it, I have been a lazy slug !! LOL
I hope you have sunny skies and a wonderful day !! Thanks for stopping by.
